The XBroker: Listing Router New Pay Per Click Pricing Per City

Listing Router New Pay Per Click Pricing Per City

Late last week the Listing Router Pay Per Click system was retroactively updated to reflect new, and in many cases, reduced pricing.

If you have already set-up campaigns in the Listing Router admin pages, you don't need to change a thing.

If you have not already set up your campaigns and personal 'My Markets' section, you should make this a priority in your daily ActiveRain Active-ites.

The new pricing matrix generally breaks down as follows:

  • 65.5% of all available cities will cost $.89 per click.
  • 32.5% of all available cities will cost $.1.89 per click.
  • ~1% of all available cities will cost $2.49 per click.

The method behind how much 'clicks per city' cost involve a variety of factors including property turnover rates and agent density vs population.

Below is a screen shot where I arbitrarily chose some cities in the Listing Router admin page to demonstrate the new pricing.

Under the URL column, you would fill in the link to the page on your IDX site for the appropriate city.

If you cannot find a city you are looking for, try being slightly less specific.  Although we've tried to include as many cities and towns as possible, some will not show up due to size or other geographic reason.

Jeff - This is great news!  Thanks. Do the discounts still apply for those who points requirements?

@Michelle:  I'll track Jon down and get you an answer ASAP.

@Sudip C:  Listing Router is a straight up pay-per-click campaign, where Google AdWords offers a cost per impression aspect as well.  AR has traditional cost per impression advertising too, though it is a separate program and will have different results than Listing Router.  I look forward to your discoveries :)

Is pay per click worth the investment?

Posted by Steven Beam (RE/MAX Alliance - Parker Colorado Real Estate.) about 1 year ago

@Steven:  Great question.  The answer really lies in how effective your IDX solution is.  If you have an antiquated, aesthically confusing, non-intuitive IDX solution, sending traffic there in a pay per click or any other fashion is likely a waste of time and money.  In the alternative, if you have a well-thought out IDX site that was thoughtfully created and designed to convert traffic efficiently, pay-per-click (Listing Router) can be amongst the most cost effective marketing dollars you spend.

The Listing Router system is now correctly discounting the cost per click based on membership points.  If you are setting up your campaigns for the first time, you may have to refresh the page to see the discount based on member points.  If your campaigns are already set-up you should see the discount pricing next time you visit the Listing Router admin panel.

Its going to be a system that needs to be tested and tweeked as we go and everyone should try different settings and different pages to see what works with the leads. In any event it is another service from AR to get us directly in front of consumers and its a great tool for all that care to use.

Yes I agree.

If we are in the 2 week test, I am having money taken from my campaign and I know others here have been looking at my site.

Looks great. Is this service available immediately? I have to admit to being a bit in the dark on this one. Sounds like a good opportunity, though.

I hope  this works as well as I expect. With all the activity some of it has to stop by our neck of the woods.

Jeff, Can I contact someone via phone tomorrow to ask for help ?  We have sent several requests at "contact Active Rain" but with no response.  We are having difficulty setting it up.  Thanks !  ~ Chris and Stephanie

Jeff,

This makes much more sense and is much more in-line w/the Google AdWords model. I hope I get a few more hits(I know this is new but I haven't really experienced results yet).

PS.  As if you haven't realized I love instant gratification.

Jeff, I'm so far behind, I haven't even signed up yet. I guess I had better get with the program.

Jeff - I will go back and try to set it up again.  I failed when I tried before.  It didn't recognize my city and that is the largest city in my area so I don't know how to be less specific.

I'm planning on working on this whole new concept this weekend.  There sure is a lot that has been written about it.....lots of catching up for me.

I too have a lot of catching up to do.  With all the tools we have today in real estate, there is hardly time to do what we got into the biz for.  MAKE MONEY....LOL

There are so many cities I would want to do...I wish they had it by county instead!

Jeff,

Thank you for your post--I need to get more info about this. If I am reading correctly, everytime someone clicks on my sitw, I would be charged $1.89--that seems awfully high. Am I understanding correctly?
